A new study about the famous actor Bruce Lee, who became one of the unforgettable in the history of cinema with the movie Enter the Dragon, claimed that he shed light on the death of the actor. Lee died after suffering cerebral edema (swelling of the brain) when the calendars showed July 1973.
“DON’T TAKE MUCH WATER”
A research team working on Lee’s death suggested that the edema was due to hyponatremia. “In other words, we suggest that Bruce Lee died due to an inability to remove excess water from his kidney,” the article published in the Clinical Kidney Journal states.
Taking a few factors into account, Lee’s diet, which consisted of a lot of juice and protein drinks at the time, also suggests that he may have been consuming unusually high amounts of fluids due to his use of marijuana, which increased thirst.
“IRONY IN THE DEATH”
The authors of the article came to the following conclusion in their study:
“Lee, who made the motto ‘Be like water, man,’ ironically, Lee seems to have died from drinking too much water.”
