Last year, the European Central Bank began a movement to lower its guiding rates, in a context of inflation reduction. The latter increased from 4 % to 3 % between June and December 2024. “The movement should continue in 2025, reaching 2 %, or even 1.5 %, at the end of the year”, evaluates Philippe Crevel, director of the circle of savings. The yield of cash investments directly linked to these rates, such as booklets (regulated or not), term accounts or even monetary funds, will therefore also be downward oriented in the coming months. This is not a reason to abandon these products both without risk and liquid, but it is necessary, more than ever, to select them with care.

Booklet A and LDDS

Despite the decline in their compensation at 2.4 % since February 1, the booklet A and the Sustainable and Solidarity Development Booklet (LDDS) remain essential in 2025. They must be supplied as a priority up to their respective ceilings: 22,950 euros for booklet A and 12,000 euros for the LDDS.
