Linn Svahn was back in the World Cup after almost two years of absence.
Then she won the team sprint together with Maja Dahlqvist – and now the icon Torgny Mogren believes that a WC place should be secured for Svahn.
– She has proven that she is back, says Mogren to Radiosporten.
Due to his to say the least protracted shoulder injury has Lynn Svahn been away from the World Cup for almost two years. But during the weekend that was, she was again there, and what a comeback it was for the 23-year-old from Lycksele.
The successful comeback
Svahn took along Maja Dahlqvist home the victory in the team sprint in Italian Livigno, ahead of the national team colleagues Emma Ribom and Jonna Sundling. According to the ski icon Torgny Mogren however, it is clear. Linn Svahn should absolutely be allowed to go to Slovenia and to the WC.
– I thought it looked absolutely fantastic. Linn had high hopes that she would have a good weekend and she fulfilled that with flying colours, says Torgny Mogren to Radiosporten.

“There is no one else”
Mogren believes that there should be no doubt whatsoever that Linn Svahn will take one of the places at the WC.
– I think she has taken the chance. There is no one else that I could say should be there instead of her. She has proven that she is back where she was before the injury, says Mogren.

From before it is clear that Ebba Andersson, Frida Karlsson, Moa Ilar, Maja Dahlqvist, Emma Ribom, Jonna Sundling and Johanna Hagström will go to the WC. Whether or not Linn Svahn is allowed to ride will be decided after this weekend’s World Cup competitions in Les Rousses, France.
