Netflix always saves some film and series highlights for the Christmas holidays. This year, alongside Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon, No Hard Feelings is also launching on the platform – both on December 22nd, so in 12 days. By the way, that means you only have 10 days left to get presents, just by the way. Netflix announced the launch in an official press release.

The controversial plot of No Hard Feelings
Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence plays Maddie in the comedy. She is in her early thirties and plagued by money worries. A welcome but unusual job offer flutters in: Maddie is supposed to seduce the stubborn student Percy (Andrew Barth Feldman) – on behalf of his parents. However, the job turns out to be more complicated than expected, for various reasons.

The team behind No Hard Feelings had to respond to allegations against the film before its release. The age difference between Maddie and her “victim” Percy became an issue. The behavior of Percy’s parents is of course also problematic: without a sex life, they see their son as an incomplete person. No Hard Feelings reflects all of these problems more or less cleverly.
Jennifer Lawrence warned audiences about the film’s release
The discussions surrounding the film were to a certain extent taken into account, perhaps even desired, because No Hard Feelings did not have to strive for attention. In an interview with Sky News, Lawrence spoke about the balancing act between humor and provocation:
I think it’s time for a good old fashioned laugh and it’s hard to do good comedy when people don’t feel offended. Everyone will be offended by this film. You’re welcome.
