Amory High School in Mississippi found itself in the middle of the tornado’s advance. The school’s surveillance cameras captured images that look like straight out of a horror movie. President Joe Biden declares state of emergency after Friday’s deadly tornadoes. At the same time, search and rescue work continues in the hardest-hit southern states. More than 20 people have died and dozens have been injured in the tornadoes that swept through Friday night. Worst hit are areas around the Mississippi Delta, which is considered one of the poorest parts of the United States.
