In connection with a film premiere in New York earlier in July, Ryan Reynolds thanked his wife and children and then mentioned all the children’s names, writes Mama.
“I want to thank my children, James, Inez, Betty, Olin, who are here,” he said.
Olin is the name of the child who was born in February 2023. The name has roots in Sweden, Norway and England and in Sweden the name is mainly used as a surname. According to Tax Agency 1723 Swedes have Olin as their last name, 23 people have Olin as their first name and 968 people use the spelling “Ohlin”.
In the United States, that name is all the more unusual. In 1903, the name came in 327th place among the most popular boys’ names. After that, the number has dropped.
Whether the child is a boy or a girl he leaves unsaid.

The Lively-Reynolds family are close friends with Taylor Swift. In her song “Betty”, the pop star revealed the name of the couple’s third daughter, which, like Olin’s name, had been kept secret. In the song, Swift sings about three characters named James, Inez and Betty, all of which are the names of Blake and Ryan’s daughters. Then fans could quickly speculate that Betty was the name of the party’s third child.
