The historical warplane flying on the “Air Day” aviation day held in Cheb, Czechia, lost altitude yesterday at 15:30 local time and crashed on a house in the town of Podhrad near Cheb Airport.

Radek Hes, spokesperson for the Karlovy Vary Region Medical Rescue Service, said: “The pilot died at the scene. One person was also slightly injured. We completed his treatment at the scene. “There are no other injuries at the moment,” he said.
Police Spokesperson Katerina Peskova said, “We are working with a helicopter and a drone at the scene. We will cooperate with the Air Accident Investigation Office to investigate the accident. The roads around the house were closed to traffic. We seek cooperation and assistance from the public. If you see the plane crash or have camera footage, please contact us,” she said. (UAV)
