The highest grossing DC film in history which will continue later

Just About Joker, the first Aquaman solo film of 2018, is the highest-grossing DC film to date, grossing a good $1.14 billion worldwide. In 2023, the superhero spectacle with Jason Momoa will finally continue. Before that you can watch the first part again on Sunday at 8:15 p.m. on Sat. 1.

Aquaman 2 could build on Avatar 2 hype

Horror expert James Wan really let off steam with Aquaman. The DC blockbuster looks like a huge adventure playground with a penchant for high-end trash. When else was the last time there was a $200 million mainstream production where Nicole Kidman eats a goldfish straight from the aquarium in the first five minutes?

In any case, the audience was enthusiastic about the underwater spectacle and made Aquaman the most successful DC film to date. The sequel Aquaman: Lost Kingdom will be released later this year and will feature groundbreaking special effects. The sequel might as well tie in with the 3D underwater hype surrounding Avatar 2 and become a huge success again.

From December 21, 2023 you can see for yourself. Then the Aquaman sequel starts in German cinemas.
