The helm watcher Kimmo Lipponen the words have become a big topic of conversation in Denmark before the struggle between Finland and Denmark.
Lipponen told before the Denmark match that Denmark’s playing has been predictable.
– Denmark has played all training matches with the same grouping and the same way of playing, Lipponen said.
The only puzzle Lipponen stated was the high turnover of the Danish players. Star player Pernille Harder came late to join the team. Nadia Nadim, on the other hand, was sidelined for nine months due to an injury.
In the opening match, Denmark lost to Germany no less than 0–4.
– Game-wise, Denmark has been predictable except for the Germany match, when they were under a storm. They clearly invented something new then, but I don’t think there will be any magic tricks, Lipponen said.

Football expert for the Danish broadcaster DR Arnela Muminovic did not fully understand Lipponen’s words about the arrogance of the Danish players.
In his own words, Muminovic has seen nervousness and hesitation in Denmark’s game, but not arrogance.
Muminovic also does not think that Harder minus Denmark would have as good a team as Finland.
– Denmark was not good against Germany. The team didn’t look like it belonged in the European Championships. But Denmark was not at their level, in the match, Muminovic states.
– Finland is indeed a national team that is developing, but the fact that Finland and Denmark, minus Harder, would be equally good on paper, is quite extreme. Denmark has more players in bigger clubs and has more potential than Finland.
Denmark head coach Lars Sondergaard did not comment on Lipponen’s speeches to the Danish public broadcasting company DR.
– We have our own opinion about how we play. That’s what we want to show, Söndergaard said.
Three years ago, Denmark did not make it to the World Championships, but now they reached the European Championships with excellent performances. Denmark is also one of the four European countries that has already secured its place at next year’s World Cup.
In the Fifa ranking, Denmark is 15th, Finland 29th.
