The Hegersten mothers had children on their own

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Since 2016, it is legal for single women to have assisted reproduction in Sweden. Now they have started to see the increase as the number of inseminations goes up in the country.

That it is overwhelming to become a parent, many people will probably agree, but how do you manage everything when you have a child on your own? Yes, you turn to other women who have done the same thing.

This was done by Maria Hagström, Kattis Jacobsson and Stina Lönnqvist, who all chose to become parents on their own, and who are part of a group that calls itself the Hägerstens mothers.

– We usually check each other, is anyone else babbling? Says Stina Lönnqvist about how everyday life works with VAB and waking nights on your own.
