Dane Mille Gejl Jensen accounted for two goals and an assist when Häcken went to a 3-0 lead in the first half.
– We are doing well, we found the flow, she says to Viaplay at half time.
– Now I’m going for a hat trick.
But it was not a third goal for Gejl Jensen. Instead, she and four other players were substituted at the same time in the 59th minute when the victory felt secure. It gave room for intruders to shine. Icelander Dilja Zomers made it 4-0 and then played forward Molly Johansson who put the nail in the coffin, 5-1, her first Allsvenskan goal.
– It’s really fun. I have mostly played right-back, but now I had to play in the middle, closer to goals, and then it is easier to put them there, Johansson says to Viaplay after the match.
Häcken, undefeated in the damallsvenskan, remains in second place, four points behind leading Rosengård after twelve rounds.
Vittsjö came to Eskilstuna with four straight victories in the bag and eight matches without a loss. It was never really close to a loss against Eskilstuna when Skånelaget dominated a lot in ball possession and chances. Eskilstuna also had team captain Matilda Plan sent off in the 77th minute when she received her second yellow card.
– It was a real warrior effort because it was really hot. We toil for 90 minutes but do not receive a dividend. It is slow. We had the game but not the little luck to get the ball in the net, says Vittsjö’s Nellie Persson to Viaplay.
– You can see the result as two lost points.
Vittsjö remains in fourth place in the table, two points behind third Linköping, and Eskilstuna remains in sixth place.
