At least nine people have died and several are missing in the storm in Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria.

It has been raining like never before in Greece since Monday. In the city of Volos on the east coast of mainland Greece, 75.4 centimeters of water rained late on Tuesday, while in the Athens region, for example, it usually rains about 40 centimeters throughout the year.

The worst heavy rains in the recorded history of Greece have caused landslides, destroyed a bridge, collapsed power poles and washed away dozens of cars. Authorities have banned traffic in Volos, the Pílion mountain range and the tourist island of Skiáthos.

At least two people have died in the storm and three are missing in Greece.

The big tour operators TUI and Aurinkomatkoi have no information that Finns are in trouble due to heavy rains. They do not organize trips to Skiathos or central mainland Greece.

The rains are still continuing in Greece, and they are also hitting neighboring countries.

In Turkey, near the Bulgarian border, a torrent washed away the bungalows of a campsite, killing at least three people. Rescue workers are still looking for three people missing from the camping area.

In Istanbul, hundreds of houses and workplaces were left under floodwaters yesterday, Tuesday. Two people died. One was trapped in his basement apartment and the other was swept away by the water.

In Bulgaria, on the Black Sea coast, at least two have died in floods caused by the storm, and three are missing. In the beach resort of Tsarevo, the water carried cars and caravans into the sea.
