The heartwarming gesture for cancer patient Sven-Göran Eriksson – now “Svennis” is celebrated with a statue of his very own

Sven-Göran “Svennis” Eriksson is honored with a bronze statue in Torsby, NWT reports.

The former coach is supposed to sit on a bench in Björntorget in the Värmland community, and the cost of just over SEK 550,000 is covered by local companies.

Sven-Göran Eriksson was born in Sunne, but grew up in Torsby. Torsby announced earlier in May that Björntorget will get a new name – and become “Svennis torg”.
