The situation for LGBTQI people has worsened in several countries in recent years. In many places around the world, people are still persecuted and imprisoned because of their sexual orientation – something that is highlighted at Stockholm Pride, but where there is also room for joy and celebration. Stockholm Pride runs all week and on Wednesday Pridepark opened at Östermalm’s IP – where people meet to celebrate, discuss and express themselves. – It is wonderful to be here and celebrate this week with the rest of Stockholm and the rest of Sweden, says Claus Thordsen.
