The Healthcare Party’s top name Robert Thunfors takes time out – refers to mental illness

Health care party Robert Thunfors is an opposition councilor and second vice-chairman of the regional board, but now he is taking time out from politics to try to cure a symptom of exhaustion.

– Since this summer, I have felt fatigue symptoms that I have been working with, he writes in a press release.

He says that he has already cut back on his political involvement in order not to “go into the wall” as he describes it. However, it has not helped, so now he has decided to refrain from his political work completely for two months.

Mental illness

After the timeout, Robert Thunfors will make a decision on whether he should take sick leave or not. If sick leave becomes relevant, the regional council will appoint an acting opposition council in February.

– I also want to contribute to breaking the stigma around mental illness. It is important that more people dare to talk about a growing social problem, says Robert Thunfors.

SVT is looking for Robert Thunfors for a comment.
