The head of the land surveying office blackmailed the government

At a meeting in May, the issue of Lantmäteriet’s customer service handing over documents without conducting any confidentiality review, in violation of internal rules and the law, was dealt with.

During the meeting, the former head of security protection Peter Wengrud recommended the director general to shut down the digital services, something he had also urged before, when he found that there were defense secrets in the archive.

When no decision is made to shut down the service, another manager says it “makes her sick to her stomach and she sees herself shaking bars in the future, with the director general reassuring her that there is no danger,” the service notes state .

“A strategic choice”

During the meeting, Ås Sivborg is asked by another manager about the strategy for the dialogue with the Government Office. She then states “that the total picture has deliberately not been communicated with the Government Office and that this was a strategic choice”.

Susanne Ås Sivborg writes in a comment to Expressen that she wants to point out “that the descriptions that have been highlighted do not give a complete or objective picture of our work or our decisions. As head of the authority, I do not share all the interpretations and conclusions that have been brought forward” .

Susanne Ås Sivborg has previously been called to the defense committee after Expressen’s disclosure. On Tuesday, she is called to the Riksdag’s civil affairs committee, where she will be heard again.
