The GTA 5 publisher is legally proceeding against a page that is supposed to achieve a million sales with hacks

Take-Two Interactive, the publisher of GTA 5, takes legal steps against a page that is supposed to earn millions with the sale of chopped accounts.

Which side does the publisher proceed against? What is meant is the Playeruction page-a Chinese website known for the trade and sale of accounts and digital currencies in online games.

In a complaint by the publisher, which was submitted in front of the United States District Court in California, it says:

  • “The website playerauctions.com offers a huge online marketplace with thousands of offers for non-authorized, right-wing GTA-V content-including heavily modified player accounts, in-game objects and virtual currency-all of which have been obtained by hacking software, cheats and technical exploits.”

Website should actively support the sale of hacks in GTA 5

What is the accusation? Take-Two subordinates the website that it operates “a highly developed sales platform” and actively recruit “sellers”, which are practiced in the use of hacking software and other exploits to create right-wing digital goods and offer illegal “services” for players.

The fact that Playeructions receives a share of every transaction on your marketplace, the website achieves “millions of income” with the content sold. Buyers would also be lured because the website offers “buyer protection” – if one of the chopped accounts is closed, the buyer receives his money back.

Player auctions would offer this “protection” because the company knew exactly that the chopped player account offers on its marketplace violate the terms of use of Take-Two and are not authorized.

The application continues that the website with your business not only the publisher, but also the players of GTA 5. The size of the website suffers the general gaming experience and innocent players would be tempted to buy cheats themselves to keep up with the hackers.

Finally, Take-Two claims that a variety of injunctive relief requests have already been sent. However, these are said to have been ignored by player auctions. For this reason, a lawsuit should now stop the “corrupt business model” from Playeruction.
