– We will now move forward next year with a proposal for a new modern social security fund, says Labor Market Minister Johan Pehrson (L), to the radio.
If the bill goes through, more people may be entitled to compensation, and Pehrson also hopes that the change will lead to a shorter wait for the unemployment insurance funds that have been drawn with long processing times.
Not all the details are in place yet, but the proposal is based on an investigation that the previous government received just over three years ago. The investigation suggested, among other things, that an annual income of at least SEK 120,000 should be required to be entitled to compensation.
