The government wants to scrap the student’s choice

The government proposes in a legislative council referral that the student’s choice of subjects in primary school, special school and Sami school be removed completely. The aim is to free up teaching time for other subjects.

the changes will begin to apply to education that begins in the fall semester of 2024. Before then, the government will come back with proposals on which subjects should be given more hours.

– We have course plans that are very extensive and where time is not really enough. This applies above all in SO and NO, says Education Minister Lotta Edholm (L) to TT.
