Sweden’s government has decided to stop all direct government cooperation with Georgia.

Aid Minister Benjamin Dousa says so DN.

This weekend there were elections in Georgia and the incumbent government party Georgian Dream won.

They got a majority in parliament.

The election result has since been criticized by international election observers as well as by the domestic opposition.

Sweden’s government has decided to stop all direct government cooperation with Georgia. However, the decision must have been made before the election.

Aid Minister Benjamin Dousa says so DN.

– This is, among other things, about cooperation between the tax authorities, which we judge is not appropriate under the current circumstances, says the minister of aid to the newspaper.
