The government has tasked the Armed Forces with preparing a delivery of the advanced Archer artillery system to Ukraine.
This was announced by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson at a press conference on Thursday, where the government presented a new support package to the war-ravaged country.
The package is the tenth in the order.
– Archer is perhaps the world’s most advanced artillery system and something that Ukraine has been asking for for a long time, says Defense Minister Pål Jonson (M).
In addition to preparations for an Archer delivery, Sweden will send 50 combat vehicles 90 to Ukraine.
– It is one of Sweden’s best combat vehicles. It will strengthen Ukraine’s ability and security, says Minister of Energy and Industry Ebba Busch Ebba Busch (KD).
Archer is an artillery system that can be moved quickly on wheels, fired quickly and has great accuracy. Sweden has 48 Archer plays.

Participating in the press conference are Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Energy and Industry Minister Ebba Busch, Labor Market and Integration Minister Johan Pehrson and Defense Minister Pål Jonson.
