The government presents investments in entrepreneurship, research and infrastructure.

SEK 1,171 billion will go to roads and railways in the coming years.

– We are entering a phase of major future investments, says Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M).

The government says that the infrastructure bill that will be presented later this fall will include SEK 1,171 billion.

It is an increase of 20 percent compared to the previous bill, according to Kristersson, or an increase of 200 billion until the year 2037.

– It is the largest infrastructure bill in 15 years.

The government also says that the research proposal presented at the end of 2024 will include SEK 40 billion.

In addition, the government wants to lower the employer’s contributions for small-scale companies.

More will also be covered by the so-called expert tax. Experts, researchers or other key people with special skills, who can be difficult to recruit, can already receive tax relief today. Part of the earned income will simply be tax-free.

– It should be easier to attract exactly the workforce that is needed in Sweden, says Kristersson.

Energy and Industry Minister Ebba Busch (KD) says that roads and railways are in great need of maintenance and renovations.

– It is clear that politics has lived well on the investments of previous generations, it is time for our generation to enter a new era of settlers.

According to Busch, the entire maintenance debt can be taken care of with the government’s proposal for financial frameworks.
