The government does not want to financially support poor Liberation

“No one wants Liberation Festivals to stop,” says Van Ooijen. His ministry finances the National Committee 4 and 5 May. He does not like to allocate extra subsidies to improve the financial position of festivals. “I know there are financial problems, but there are also major differences between the festivals,” the State Secretary responds to the call from the government to help festivals. Van Ooijen points out that various municipalities and provinces are “jumping into the breach to allow the festivals to continue”. He calls this “very good news”.
