The government curtails exports | SVT News

Several countries, including Sweden, have introduced sanctions against Russia. Despite that, the government suspects that Swedish goods reach the Russian market.

– We have seen a relatively strong increase in exports to some of Russia’s neighboring countries since February last year, says Johan Forssell (M), Minister of Foreign Trade, in Rapport.

Now the government wants to map what the increase in exports is due to. According to Forssell, there are “reasons to take the warnings seriously”. Turkey, Georgia, Armenia and Kazakhstan are some of the countries identified as intermediaries.
