The rules are usually criticized for being complex and have changed several times over the years.
The government is now appointing a committee to investigate how they can be simplified. It appears from a press release.

– This is not an investigation that aims to withdraw more money to the Treasury. But if the system is to be simplified, the inquiry is free to discuss whether it is necessary to adjust tax rates to make room for making it easier in other parts.
A simplification of the rules was one of the points in the January agreement, which never materialized. The assignment must be reported no later than 30 November 2023.
