The Google photos app finally has a edition function eagerly awaited by Android users. Called mirror, it allows to correct the inversion of selfies. Enough to put the self -portraits in the right direction!
If you have an Android phone, it is likely that you use the Google Photos app to store all your photos and videos online on the internet giant servers. A practical tool that automatically stores the images taken in albums, which can then be shared with your loved ones. Over time, the software has become much more than a simple storage and organizational tool, to the point of becoming a real touch -up and multimedia content management platform.
The Mountain View firm continues to enrich its tool by adding the mirror function which, as its name suggests, allows to correct the mirror effect of selfies, by reversing the cliché on 180 °. This is particularly practical when there is text on the photo, that the absence of a mirror effect makes it completely illegible.

Note that some smartphones already automatically correct this defect, but this is not the case for everyone. If they automatically adjust the image displayed in the viewfinder to give a more natural rendering, but the cliché is still recorded in the form of a mirror, which makes the texts illegible. So far, third party applications had to be used to correct this concern. The new Google function is therefore more than welcome!
Users can now note the appearance of a “return” button in the Google Photos reframing tool. To return an image, just open a photo in the application, click on “Modifie”, then on “crop”, to finally activate the image reversal option. For the moment, the mirror function is only available on Android. But given the deployment speed, you will have to be patient before you can access it on the App Store …
