Johan Larsson won gold with Brynäs in the 2012 season.
According to information, the 30-year-old is ready for a return – and will become the club’s most expensive player ever.

He made a big impact in Brynäs in the 2010/11 season but was drafted by Minnesota already the summer before. Johan Larsson was also a key player in the Brynäs that won gold in the spring of 2012 – and contributed 45 points during the regular season and playoffs.

Returning home

After the golden season, he moved over to play in North America. He got the chance in the NHL in his first year, but mostly stayed with the AHL club Houston Aeros where he accounted for over 30 points during the season.

Since then, Johan Larsson has remained in North America and has represented organizations such as the Buffalo Sabers and Arizona Coyotes. Last spring, however, he became teammates with Nicklas Bäckström in the Washington Capitals – but couldn’t let go and is now returning home to Sweden.

Get paid the best – ever

According to information to Gefle Dagblad, he is ready for a return to Brynäs and is expected to be presented later this week.

– Johan Larsson is a player we have a good dialogue with just like we have with all other NHL professionals. It would obviously be a dream reinforcement. But that’s all I can comment on at the moment. says Brynäs sports director Johan Alcén.
