“Recently I was diagnosed with a tumor in my left testicle. As you can probably tell, it has hit me hard. I had surgery a few days ago and it went well,” he writes.
The 32-year-old, who is currently with Swiss side FC Sion, has made 36 senior caps for Austria and has also been on the scoresheet in the country’s opening two European Championship qualifiers.
“I’m looking forward to getting fit and ready for next season,” he continues.
