When the custody proceedings began in the Jönköping district court on Monday afternoon, the man admitted that he had killed the woman and himself requested to undergo a small forensic psychiatric examination – a so-called section 7 examination, reports SVT’s reporter on the spot.
The prosecutor has requested that he be detained on probable cause on suspicion of murder, which is the higher level of suspicion.
After the man’s confession, journalists and audience members were allowed to leave the courtroom.
