Negotiations on a cease-fire in the Gaza war will continue next week in Cairo, Egypt.
Negotiations took place this week for two days in Doha, Qatar.
The United States, Egypt and Qatar, acting as mediators in the negotiations, say in their statement that the Doha negotiations were “constructive and took place in a positive atmosphere”.
The United States says it has made a proposal to Israel and Hamas for a possible agreement leading to a cease-fire.
