This weekend, the Norwegian is getting married Princess Märtha Louis with his shaman, Durek Verrett. Two other royals who will participate during the event are none other than King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
Being a queen means not only representing a nation, but also following a strict set of rules and etiquette.
For Queen Silvia, who has been part of the Swedish royal family for almost five decades, these guidelines are a natural part of everyday life. But according to Swedish Women’s Magazine is that a particular rule has caught the attention: Queen Silvia must never wear jeans in public.

Applies to all royalty
Queen Silvia is not alone in this rule. Also Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, recently portrayed in a TV series, is banned from wearing jeans in public.
The actress Delfina Chavezwho plays Máxima, expressed her surprise at how strict these rules are, especially when it comes to something as mundane as clothing.
– I recently found out that the royals are not allowed to wear jeans in public. You should always be elegantly dressed, she says in German Photo.
She continues:
– I myself could never have lived the way she does. According to a very special protocol, the clothes must fit perfectly, and the make-up must be flawless when the royals go out.

There are exceptions
Here in Sweden, it may happen that we see the royals in jeans even out on the royal field, if the assignment allows. Crown Princess Victoria is often out on missions or seen in public with her family.
And then it is not entirely unusual for the princess to dress down a bit.
