What is House of the Dragon about?
The new Game of Thrones series takes place around 200 years before the original and is devoted to the rise and fall of House Targaryen. So we won’t see Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), but we will see her no less charismatic ancestors.
The focus is on Rhaenyra Targaryen (young: Milly Alcock, older: Emma D’Arcy), daughter of King Viserys (Paddy Considine), who sees herself as the rightful successor to the throne of Westeros.
