With more than 3.5 million copies sold at the end of SEGA’s last financial report, which was held in mid-April, Sonic Frontiers is a real commercial success, and a nice revenge for its publisher who had to manage criticism for the less salty when publishing the tests. Yes, the press was pretty generally disappointed with the supersonic hedgehog’s latest open-world adventures, but the public backed him up. With these updated figures, we see that 1 million more copies have been sold in the last four months, which proves that this Sonic Frontiers seems to be a long-term one. It must be said that the game is also driven by the popular success of the Netflix series Sonic Prime released last December. With such a score, Sonic Frontiers has become the best-selling 3D Sonic game in the saga, especially if we are to believe the Sonic Stadium Twitter account. We will obviously wait for SEGA’s official speech to be sure, but one thing is certain, popular success is indeed there.
SEGA has revealed at their Rovio press conference that #SonicFrontiers has sold 3.5 Million units! #SonicNews
This is an increase of 300,000 since the start of April. This also puts it ahead of #Sonic Heroes, making it the best selling 3D Sonic game.
