The G7 Culture will be held in Naples on 20

(Telestock) – The G7 Culture will be held at the Royal Palace of Naples September 20 and 21, 2024. The MIC announced this, recalling that, after seven years, Italy is once again bringing together those responsible for cultural policies of the G7 governments to find common answers to the main challenges of the sector based on shared principles and values.

The support for Ukraine for the protection and reconstruction of its cultural heritage, the impact of artificial intelligence on the creative industries, the fight against illicit trafficking of works of art and the management of effects of climate change on cultural heritage will be the main themes at the centre of the debate on the first day (20 September). Following, the next day, a confrontation with the African Union and other international partners on the opportunities offered by culture for the sustainable development of the Continent.

The debate, introduced by the interventions of the Minister of Culture, Alexander Giuliand the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmund CirielliMinisters and representatives of Brazil (G20 presidency), India and Greece and the tops of UNESCO, ICCROM and African Development Bank.

On September 19, G7 delegations will visit the National Archaeological Museum of Naples and will attend a performance by young artists of the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory of Napleswhile on September 20th they will be at Pompeii Archaeological Parkin whose Amphitheatre a concert of the New Scarlatti Orchestradirected by Maestro Beatrice Venezi.
