A new SHL season has started again and the hunt for SM gold is in full swing for Sweden’s best hockey clubs. But the capital Stockholm really shines with its absence.

They are missing in the SHL

For the second season in a row, no Stockholm team plays in the Swedish top flight. Instead, both AIK and Djurgården as well as Södertälje, if you want to include them as well, are found in the second division HockeyAllsvenskan.

The 08 teams have had difficulty competing with the rest of Sweden’s hockey clubs and it is a sadness for many that such big clubs with many supporters do not belong to the SHL. But there are also those who laugh at the misery.

The Frölunda supporter and the Instagram profile Goilarn has now made a video, see it below, which makes the whole of hockey Sweden burst into laughter. He jokes about the Stockholm team in the smartest way and with a real twinkle in his eye.

With a Frölunda shirt on, he has made it to the hockey arena Hovet to offer wonderful humor.
– Now we are here to watch SHL hockey. Frölunda meets…, he says and then bursts out laughing.
– Nah, I’m just kidding haha. We are at Hovet, there is no SHL hockey here. All the teams in Stockholm have created their own league further down.

The clip has been widely spread on social media and Swedish hockey lovers around the country have laughed out loud, see the video below.
