On Tuesday, the trial begins after the murder of Ing-Marie Wieselgren, who was national psychiatry coordinator at SKR, Sweden’s municipalities and regions.
For those close to her, it is important that she is not only remembered as a victim – but that we remember her life and enormous drive for mental health.
– Above all, she was a person who was incredibly driving and convincing that you can help everyone, says Lars Stjernkvist.
The long-time S politician was himself in Visby last summer when Ing-Marie Wieselgrens was murdered. Earlier during the politicians’ week, he held a seminar together with her.
But already in their teens in Motala, they became friends and, among other things, ran the school newspaper together.
– We would change the world. At least Motala where we grew up, he says.
Lars Stjernkvist unfortunately believes that the crime against Ing-Marie Wieselgren will mark Almedalen for some time to come – a political week in which she was strongly involved.
– If there is anyone who would fight to reclaim everyday life, it is Ing-Marie Wieselgren, he says.
