Romane Dicko won his third continental crown in the over 78 kg category by beating the Israeli Raz Hershko in the final on Sunday May 1 at the European Judo Championships in Sofia. The world number 1 in her category, individual bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics last summer, brings France its third title in this Euro, after those won by Shirine Boukli (-48 kg) and Marie-Eve Gahié (-70kg). At 22, Romane Dicko, already European champion in 2018 and 2020, has never lost a single fight in three appearances in the competition. France ends the competition as the best nation with eight medals.
