In France, the country’s minority government is apparently on the verge of a vote of no confidence this week.
Prime minister Michel Barnier decided on Monday to push through the social security cuts without a parliamentary vote.
The far-right National Alliance party has announced that it cannot accept Barnier’s austerity measures. Also the leader of the French left Mathilde Panot said on Monday about the intention to raise a motion of no confidence against the government.
The opposition parties have previously expressed their support for the motion of no confidence.
