Tonight it’s that time again: The Rookie conquers the ZDFneo TV program. While two old episodes of the successful and popular cop show are already running in the afternoon, there are in the evenings the free TV premiere at prime time of two new chapters. The station has been showing the 5th season of the series for two weeks.

After the first four episodes are today Chapters 5 and 6 it’s turn. Here you will find all information about the broadcast of the episodes as well as the other known broadcast dates. Nathan Fillion’s John Nolan faces two cases that not only provide excitement, but also, as usual, have a pinch of humor.

The Rookie Season 5: ZDFneo is showing episode 5 and episode 6 as a free TV premiere this evening. Below we have summarized the initial situations of the new The Rookie episodes. In addition to police work, the subplots also emotional character conflicts told and there is at least one revelation.

  • Season 5, Episode 5 airs at 8:15 p.m.: The title of the episode sets the theme. In The Fugitive, Nolan and his recruit Juarez (Lisseth Chavez) hunt down a driver who caused an accident. We also learn more about Bradford’s (Mircea Monroe) past. In the process, his relationship with Chen (Melissa O’Neil) is strengthened.
  • Season 5, Episode 6 airs at 8:55 p.m.: Old Wounds (originally: The Reckoning) is about a drug crime. Nolan and Juarez track down the crime via a suspicious sum of cash. Aside from that, Wesley (Shawn Ashmore) meets Elijah’s (Brandon Jay McLaren) lawyer. It turns out it’s his ex, Monica (Bridget Regan).

    The new episodes will be shown back to back and without commercial breaks. So we’re expecting you this evening an hour and a half of The Rookie with Nathan Fillion and Co. The next dates have already been set.

    • It is not yet clear what the broadcast of The Rookie will look like on ZDFneo. Apparently the free TV premiere of the 5th season is still with us at least until Julybefore all 22 episodes were released.

    If you would rather break away from the linear TV program, you can also watch The Rookie Season 5 for free in the ZDF Mediathek look. The episodes are also available as a streaming subscription on WOW and Disney+. WOW also already offers six episodes of season 6. Netflix users, on the other hand, have to be content with seasons 1-4.
