In search of a first World Cup final, Les Bleues delivered a solid but hard-fought match against the reigning world champions, before failing at the last minute following a missed penalty by Caroline Drouin. The French, present for the 8th time in the semi-finals of a World Cup, will face Canada to try to win the bronze medal. The New Zealanders will meet England in the final on Saturday November 12, with the aim of winning their 6th world title after 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2017.
