Riccardo Patrese was until 2008 the racing driver with the most Formula 1 races on the merit list.
But he could obviously push the gas pedal even off the racing track.
Just watch here as he takes his wife on the ride of her life.
Riccardo Patrese is one of the most experienced Formula 1 drivers of all time. The Italian was active between 1977 and 1993 and in between managed to finish second in the WC in 1992 and third in 1989 and 1991.
An aggressive driver
During his prime, Patrese was regarded as an aggressive and partly arrogant driver – and in his last season he was team mates with, among others Michael Schumacher.

On a Formula 1 track, you are used to things going fast in the turns, but Patrese was also not afraid to accelerate outside the race track. Especially not in this clip when he gets behind the wheel of a Honda Civic for a “quiet ride” with his wife. But his wife soon learns that the ride is anything but peaceful.

“It’s not a Formula 1 car”
At first, Patrese takes it rather strangely, but after a while he really presses the gas, much to the chagrin of his wife, who desperately tries to get Patrese to slow down.
– Please Riccardo, this is not a Formula 1 car. It is not glued to the ground! You bastard!, she can be heard saying in the clip before it mostly turns into an abyssal roar.

Fortunately, the fast-paced ride ends in a good mood after she discovers that her husband recorded the entire process.
