World Cup silver medalist Truls Möregårdh was given in the European Championship team, just like the World Cup gold duo Kristian Karlsson and Mattias Falck.
In addition to the trio that made World Cup success in Houston last year, the squad was filled with players who are ranked among the top 40 in the world.
“It was a fairly given selection,” Persson said in a press release.
“The focus is on medals and if everything is correct, it can be both gold and silver.”
On the women’s side, 42-ranked Linda Bergstöm becomes the anchor in the young squad.
Sweden’s squad, men: Truls Möregårdh, Kristian Karlsson, Anton Källberg, Mattias Falck, Jon Persson and the reserve Elias Ranefur. Ladies: Linda Bergström, Stina Källberg, Filippa Bergand, Rebecca Muskantor.
The European Championships will be decided on 13-21 August.
