12:07 – The A62 blocked again between Agen and Montauban
The A62, which had been one of the main blocking points held by farmers during the ten days of mobilizations at the end of January, was blocked again this Wednesday February 21. The road is closed for 70 kilometers between Agen and Montauban in both directions of traffic. A little further south, the Castelsarrasin toll at exit no. 12 is also blocked. Earth, straw and tires were placed there and farmers planned to join there during the day, reports France 3.

11:56 – “A strong welcome from all politicians” promised at the Agricultural Show
In addition to the mobilization which will take place the day before the opening of the Agricultural Show, the unions are also giving a “strong welcome” to “all politicians, not just those in the government”, warned the vice-president of the FNSEA, Lus Smessaert, on BFMTV. The idea of the demonstration and the treatment reserved for politicians and of “putting the right pressure […] to move from words to action” insisted the trade unionist.
11:45 – A walk to the Agricultural Show planned for this Friday
The two main agricultural unions, the FNDSEA and the JA, have announced major demonstrations on the eve of the Agricultural Show. “A march to arrive at the doors of the Show” is planned for this Friday, February 23 afternoon, indicated the vice-president of the FNSEA, Luc Smessaert, on BFMTV. The start of the mobilization must take place on Place Henri Queuille near the Sèvres-Lecourbe metro station in the direction of the Porte de Versailles, where the Agricultural Show will take place. Between 1000 and 1500 people will be present at the mobilization as well as 14 tractors to represent each French region, said Europe 1.
