The FNDC, the group that led the protest in Guinea against former President Alpha Condé, announced yesterday that it was suspending its call for a demonstration scheduled for Thursday, which was announced as the first major protest rally under the ruling junta in Conakry. The FNDC had called for taking to the streets on Thursday and overriding the ban on all demonstrations enacted by the junta which came to power by force in 2021 by overthrowing President Condé.
