The heavy rain that started yesterday shows no signs of abating. Rainfall is exceptional. For example, in the Czech Republic, in many regions, the amount of rain is already close to a hundred millimeters.

The rain zone extends from Austria to southern Germany, the Czech Republic and the southern part of Poland. In Austria, rain turns into snow at an altitude of 1,200 meters. The rain is heaviest in Austria and the northern Czech Republic.

So far, 60,000 are without electricity in the Czech Republic. Many roads and railways are cut. Evacuations have started in Poland.

According to the forecast, the heavy rain will continue at least until tomorrow, Sunday. At the beginning of the week, the rain is no longer as strong, but it still continues.
