The 138 sailors taking part in the Route du Rhum set off on Wednesday, November 9 (1:15 p.m. UT) in this famous solo transatlantic race, for a crossing to Guadeloupe that the fastest should complete in six days. After an unprecedented postponement due to the weather on Sunday, the entire fleet, from the latest generation Ultims capable of flying on water to small monohulls helmed by amateur sailors, set off off Saint-Malo (Brittany ), all sails out, under a radiant sun.
