The first Yellowstone pictures from the season 5 finale are here – and clarify the situation without Kevin Costner

Season 5b of Yellowstone was actually supposed to be the big series finale, but now it looks like there might be a 6th season with a slimmed down cast. Regardless, Taylor Sheridan’s hit series is preparing to return after a break of almost two years and has now released the first Kevin Costner-less pictures of the new episodes.

Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2: First pictures show the alliances without Kevin Costner

In the final episodes of season 5, the Dutton family war How the absence of Kevin Costner’s patriarch John Dutton will be explained is still unclear, although many suspect that he will be written out of the series through a sudden death.

Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) on the other hand, has the backing of John Dutton’s right-hand man and husband Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser). A united front that seems threatening in its determination even in the warm evening light.

With the last sibling Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes)who in the past has repeatedly tried to distance himself from his father and the family’s machinations, his wife Monica (Kelsey Asbille) and son Tate (Brecken Merrill) clearly have priority.

After the loss of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton, the three siblings will have to find their own way. A reconciliation between Beth and Jamie seems hopeless at this point. In the end, the support of outsider Kayce, who has often tried to remain neutral in the past, could decide between victory and defeat in the Yellowstone inheritance.

When will Yellowstone return with the new episodes of season 5?

Yellowstone starts on 10 November 2024 in the USA on the Paramount Network and will then be broadcast weekly. The German streaming launch in November has also been confirmed and will take place on the streamer AXN Black. However, an exact date is still pending.
