The Conjuring films are one of those most popular horror franchises of our time. The spin-off The Nun, which gave the creepy nun from Part 2 his own film, fell far short of expectations in terms of quality (unlike the three-part Annabelle release).

Despite poor reviews and disappointing fan reception, grossing over $360 million worldwide on a budget of just $20 million was incentive enough to get going The Nun 2 to turn. And for the sequel, which nobody actually asked for, there is now a first gloomy trailer.
