The first trailer for Fantastic Four: First Steps, the opening film of Marvel’s sixth phase, was released. The film draws attention with its retro-futuristic air.

Pedro Pascal, the star of The Last of US, is the role of Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, the leader of the Fantastic Fourth. Other members of the team were announced as Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm/invisible woman), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing). In the trailer, the theme of family dynamics and unity between the team is particularly emphasized. Sue Storm summarizes the main message of the film, “No matter what life brings us, we confront it as a family”.
The film takes place in an alternative version of the 1960s. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said that the film would be a period film in the New York City, but a different atmosphere will be created from the Marvel Universe, where the audience is accustomed to. Visually promising a retro-futuristic design, the film reconsider the story of the origin of the Fantastic Four.
Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson as the main bad character of the film, is seen in the trailer for a short time. In addition, Julia Garner, Silver Surfer’s different interpretation of Shalla-Bal will appear in front of the audience. This detail has already aroused great curiosity among comic book fans.
