True Lies is one of Arnold Schwarzegger’s most entertaining action films. Steve Howey is set to take on his role in a True Lies series. The first trailer already shows how action packed and entertaining that could be.

True Lies as an action series: Arnold Schwarzenegger finds successor after 28 years
Basically, the series tells the same story as the 1994 film. An elite spy (Howey) carries out missions and villains all over the world, but keeps it a secret from his beloved wife (Ginger Gonzaga). She thinks he’s a bore and longs for action. And then, by accident, she finds out the truth.
However, as indicated in the first action adaptation report, the new format is more likely to the common espionage life of the two focus after the unveiling. Wild brawls alternate with the bourgeois pleasures of cat pictures. Hollywood great James Cameron directed the film and is on board as a producer.
When is the action series True Lies coming to Germany?
The broadcaster CBS has included True Lies in its programming for the 2022/2023 TV season. However, this will only be seen in the midseason. This means: the start will not take place until spring 2023. As a CBS series, True Lies could appear on Sky.
